Aptech Aviation and Hospitality Academy opened its second branch in Hyderabad and its 35th in India last week. Aptech is optimistic that the demand for aviation-related education will be strong in the medium to long term.
Ravi Dighe, Executive vice-president of Aptech said that Aptech plans to open eight more centres this fiscal. In the next five years, it is targeting a network of 75 centres. The institute offers courses ranging from a six-month diploma in airport management to a two-year MBA. The course fee is Rs 75,000 - Rs 2 lakh.
Last fiscal, around 5,000 students took the company's aviation courses. Of these, 70 per cent of the students who had registered for placement, were absorbed by the industry, Dighe said.
