Foot over bridges (FOB) and ramps would be built in six of its seven interchange stations on Mukundpur Shiv Vihar corridor, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.
These FOBs and ramps have been designed to connect the new and the old stations thereby providing seamless connectivity to commuters.
DMRC would provide lifts and escalators in these FOBs and ramps wherever required and the connectivity will be from concourse to concourse.
DMRC would construct FOBs and ramps with a length of approximately 70 metre to 200 metre. DMRC said it was very difficult to connect the new stations with the already operational ones owing to constraints such as the inadequate availability of land near the existing stations and the direction of the alignment.
DMRC would set up interchange stations at Azadpur, Netaji Subhas Place, Rajouri Garden, Mayur Vihar 1, Karkarduma, Anand Vihar and Welcome on the 56-km corridor.
