For maintenance and beautification of MG Road in Gurgaon, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is wooing corporate firms and mall owners.
HUDA's administrator Praveen Yadav said that as per the proposal, malls or MNCs can get involved in maintaining trees, central verge or in keeping the road in front of their building clean. According to the plan, a limited stretch on either side of the MCG Road would be allocated by the HUDA for private development.
Asked about the revenue model to engage private companies, the administrator said the companies will be allowed to put up advertisements with their logo and name. This would help them publicise their contribution in making their city beautiful. he added.
HUDA is working out the details of the signage, which will be uniform across the city. Kumar said that the private companies will have to follow the dimensions of the signage decided by HUDA. The date of accepting the proposal will be decided soon and HUDA is expecting a great response.
