The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) will construct flyovers
on Palm Beach Road and Thane-Belapur Road in Navi Mumbai to decongest traffic on the two main roads. This was stated by the Maharashtra State Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
For the task, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will not have to bear any expenses and all the costs will be borne by MMRDA, the Chief Minister said. This decisions were conveyed by the chief minister during his meeting with Thane guardian minister Ganesh Naik last week at Mantralaya, the state secretariat in Mumbai.
