Under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM), the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) will put up detailed project reports (DPRs) for development works, including road and bridge projects totaling to Rs 390 crore.
The VMC had initially presented two DPRs to the State government for a sewage treatment plant (STP) at Sayajipura and construction of a storm water drain in the eastern parts of the city to divert rainwater entering the city from the eastern parts.
In its list of projects, the civic body decided to include six more DPRs to be submitted to JnNURM.
These include a new STP at Atladara, a flyover at Gotri over the Harinagar crossroads, construction of a bridge across Vishwamitri river to connect Harni and Sama, water supply projects for Makarpura GIDC and Vasna, purchase of buses for urban mobility and a new service line for water supply from Nimeta to the national highway.
